Paper Girl Creative

My name is Lizzie and I am the lady behind Paper Girl Creative.

My mission is to create beautiful design, joyful experiences and a stress-free process for couples ready to tie the knot.

I believe in the power of a strong belly laugh, that everyone is creative, and that planning a wedding shouldn’t be so dang stressful. When I’m not nerding out about paper, graphic design, and small business, I’m hiking with my dog Bosco (aka the softest animal in the world), watching the Great British Bakeoff with my man, or eating all the snacks. I've called Denver, Colorado home for the last four years and absolutely love it here.

Throughout my creative journey I have had the pleasure of creating custom wedding invitations for many different folks, both through the stationery shops I’ve worked at and on my own through my other creative business Craftbelly. Paper Girl was created in hopes that I could reach more couples who were seeking a low-stress and enjoyable wedding planning process. My collection of suites is designed to be easily customizable based on your own preferences and personality!

With over ten years experience as a graphic designer and nine years in the wedding invitation industry, I strive to offer a joyful and easy process with the goal of creating beautiful wedding stationery that not only does the necessary job of inviting people to your event but also feels just like you.

Why Paper Girl Creative? The name Paper Girl comes from the very beginning of my wedding invitation journey. I worked at this adorable stationery store in Chicago called Paper Boy where our customers affectionately called my fellow co-workers and me the “paper girls.” It was here that I first got to work hands-on with people on their invitations and I absolutely loved it!

Past Client Love

Lizzie was a joy to work with in creating our invitations and it turned out to be one of the easier parts of planning our wedding. She designed the most beautiful suite that really embodied the feel of our wedding by combining our color scheme with ornate details from our historic venue.

We struggled with our suite of wedding invitations in many ways: the biggest being we couldn’t find anything that felt like ‘us.’ Once we let Lizzie take over, she nailed it immediately! We loved our invitations so much we framed one so we could admire it long after the ceremony ended. (P.S. She makes amazing custom frames, too!)

I just wanted to say thank you again for all your hard work putting together such beautiful invitations. People have been commenting on how wonderful they are since they starting receiving them yesterday. They couldn’t have been done better! I think they turned out to be very classy, yet fun and unique invitations.

Working with Lizzie was definitely the most fun part of my wedding planning process. I had a rough idea of what I wanted, but she brought my vision to life. Lizzie not only designed my fabulous save-the-dates and invitations, but also created all of my wedding day accents—the program, menus, name cards, and table signs. I really loved that my wedding had a cohesive theme—the way everything came together was absolutely gorgeous. I can’t recommend Lizzie enough. Her creativity, attention to detail, and easygoing personality make her a dream to work with!
